Just as I've suspected

Many who know Jerome describe him as a type A, sometimes even a type A+. But deep down, Jerome knows he is one big lazy proscratinator who would choose to lounge in the Bahamas if he didn't have to work and pay off his study loans. Jerome became curious of his "orientation" again when his friend described himself to be a type A stuck in a type B's body. So he took a test from discoveryhealth.com and found himself smacked somewhere in between.

What does your score mean?

You seem to be in the middle between the Type A and Type B personality. In this case, the middle ground is good. Your attitude to life is more of the "smell the roses" kind and you know how and when to relax. Nonetheless, you realize that picking up a challenge and competing a little bit for your place in the sun can add some spice to your life. The equilibrium is important, so don't let your hostile, aggressive, and competitive alter ego take over too often. Generally, you are easy to be around, and people tend to feel relaxed and comfortable in your presence. Yours is a very healthy attitude towards life.

Jerome ponders on the reliability of the test; after all, type A personality was originally assessed by a 15-minute, structured interview that examined both verbal and nonverbal behavior. Yet, Jerome took a grand total of 15 seconds to finish the obviously abridged questionnaire.

Perhaps as a way to discourage Jerome from making outings of "aggression and hostility", he is constantly reminding himself that type A behaviour doubles the risk of CAD in otherwise healthy individuals.

Gulp.
